BLEEDING PINK

Subtle hues of the rose
Such a lush pink
Flourishing forward
Different views one can see
From your vantage point

Why did it wither away
Nourishment taken away
A beautiful blossom
So alone without shelter
From the cold vastness left

Somehow winter takes a toll
Yet the frost will yield eventually
Spring will warm the seeds of hope
Of a fire still burning deep within
Water will awaken the sleep

Now a new flower appears
Somehow more radiant than before
Bleeding pink into the whole
Brightly adding depth
Desiring once again
Desired always....

Only the flower never knew
That it would once again spring anew
With hope, promise of another season
Rising up to the loving care of another
A giver of nourishment of the deepest kind
Forever pink this time without thorns
