Emerging

Sunlight shining brightly
Over the sky looking up
Falling all over us
Cleansing the earth

Emerging forth
From the cocoon
Peeking out to see
Another world

Now another version
Of what is becoming
Shedding the unneeded
Yearning for the transformation

Letting it all fall away
Finding myself underneath the shell
Struggling to find peace along the way
Facing the need for safety from the past

Now a new vision forming
Of what is to be
In the future
How it will effect you, me

Another day is dawning
More answers coming
To questions only recently asked
Wondering why this difficult journey

Who will be there
Who will be left after it is complete
Or does it ever end
Only when we give up

Soft rays falling all around me
Warmth from the celestial body
So rarely seen from the within a cover
Seeing your open heart waiting

Along for the journey & only gratitude felt
Towards those who have stayed and continue
To see what is real in understanding
What is the reality of past pain
