So much unspoken
Words cannot do justice
To the feelings
One can hardly comprehend

Freedom to feel
Expressing what is so heartfelt
Only in the presence of trust
Into the night we share how we care

So much more is shown
To take action, instead of just words
Wrapping you in affection
Caring about who you are for you

Unspoken the depth of this union
No words have ever been created
To express what flows between you & I
So the acts of kindness shown will have to do

Love is such an overused word
Losing its meaning in the end
Showing love is the truest expression
Of what it originally meant

We seek to be understood
Loved for who we are inside
For those we love to know us
As we really are

Vulnerabilities, strengths, highs, lows
In the best of moods
In the saddest of moods
For whatever we are whenever we are
Just to know someone knows us at the core
And loves us for it all, no matter what
