AN ANGEL'S TOUCH
Chains lifted from long ago
Seemingly drifted away
No longer tied to the past
Feeling seeing a new path
Grateful for an angel's touch
Does she know she helped so much
To set free what was once so painful
Helping a new day dawn within me
To see with more beauty and joy
Understanding the meaning seeing
A plethora of colors I had let go of
A stroke of her brush now creates
What is becoming the truest beauty
For sadness and pain now abates
Unbound set free I see clearer now
That which is becoming fully me
Time to let go of all that built up
To be free to dance lightly again
Carried away by sweet sounds
So in the dance does my angel stay
See what happens as the days spring anew
How to show her such thoughtful gratitude
With open arms always there for her to find
Grateful she took the time and dared to care
So safe are all of the secrets shared
No matter where the spirit finds itself
