A certain innocence lost
One night to you buried deep
Letting go of everything inside
Seeing only the memory you left
Then in a moment the dam breaks
I am left with the letting go of you
The pain you inflicted much worse
On the inside showed still on the out
Leaving me with nothing but fear doubt
A strong sweet angel walks into my life
And in so little time you and what you left
Dissolves away into the abyss gone away
Letting go of your guilt and shame mistaken for mine
My time in hell is done and you no longer bind
She led me back to what was real
Beauty inside blossoming again out
Taking fear and dissolving it away
No longer afraid to face a new day
To evolve past what held me for so long
Her words so true and somehow she got through
Made me see things in such a different way
My trust again in a woman to be gentle strong
See what was real and what needed to be healed
Somehow I found my way back to how to feel
Letting go of what was and loving what is now
For new adventures await and I can let others in
A kaleidoscope of possibilities to be painted
Upon my canvas healed my color choices effervescent
Everyday I get back what was lost inside & out
Beauty in the miracle of such connection so simple
So much trust in what can be instead of what was
Evolution from within showing on the outside now
With her words her touch her kiss I found my bliss
I ultimately found myself through all of this.....
