Sleep my angel rest this morning
Feel the sweetness hold you so close
Let your worries drift away on clouds
Within the softest arms you'll ever feel
Let go of the stress and pain to comfort

Etched in my memory forever on
Visions of my angel at peace in sleep
Beauty and grace upon her lovely face
She is the strength so often needed
For so many even for myself she gives

Here in our precious moments in time
To hold her dear in peace and harmony
She leaves me with a tear or two melted
Intensity is ours to share that many could
In a lifetime never dare to compare

Hand to hair brushing so lightly
Watching the miracle of sleep envelope her
As I hold on gently stroke and kiss
My sweetest angel finds her bliss
Somehow all time stops in this moment

Blessed with the care of her rest now
In these moments purpose seems clear
This is the beautiful one that wipes tears
Who is so strong and is relied on
In my care she finds peace to sleep upon

She has been there for me so often
Lighting a way to see the hurt drift away
Comfort in her arms I do know
Now she finds sweet slumber in mine
Always I remind her that she is divine
