COMFORTING

Searching for a comfort
Never known to me before
Not sure how to reach
Anymore
Not since I opened
Up this new door
Blindly going into
Truly the unknown
How do I find my way
When I feel to afraid
To face the dawn
Alone
Trust now seems elusive
Still I try to let down
Allowing a gentleness
Inside of me
So afraid to let go
To find the comfort I seek
You ask me to trust
Tell me that I am not alone
Anymore
I try to open up
Slowly this process has to be
For me
Learning something I've
Never really known
Safely
Be patient with me
Give me time to find
All is well within
Touch me ever so Gently
I don't want to be scared
Allowing
Your kindness and softness in
To touch that
Which has never known it
